Clean Hands
2009
This project can be exhibited as an installation, a performance or simply as an artist book. The project consists of white gloves that are printed by hand and hung from a clothesline as though they had just been washed. The images printed on the gloves are those of the people/places/*items* lost/ murdered in city in which the work is exhibited. The choice of white gloves is due to the fact that the simple inexpensive material contrasts with the elegant manner of presentation chosen by the artist. This is because in “dirty” jobs, if everything goes according to plans those responsible manage to keep their hands clean. Clean Hands, as performance can get more interesting with the participation of local people and by result their own memories/ traces.
